Ph.D. in Economics

The Ph.D. degree of the Patliputra School of Economics (PSE) is conferred by the Aryabhatta Knowledge University, the Institution providing affiliation to the degree programmes of the PSE, on the candidate who fulfils the requirements as specified in the Ph.D. Ordinances. The Ph.D. study may be completed within a minimum period of three years (residency period) and a maximum of five years (a further extension of one year beyond five years may be provided under an exceptional circumstance).

The first academic year (1st and 2nd Semesters) is devoted for completion of compulsory course works, and the Ph.D. scholars begin their thesis-work from the beginning of the second academic year (i.e., the 3rd semester).
